Sustainable Design
The best buildings are fundamentally connected to the world in which they exist. In addition to serving the social and programmatic desires of their owners, buildings must also address issues of environmental sustainability. WASA/Studio A designs buildings in order to optimize these relationships in a way that is, at the same time, environmentally sustainable and aesthetically-pleasing. The firm gives required attention to the LEED™ roadmap - but does not let it constrain the design process. The firm's integrated philosophy facilitates the development of sustainable solutions and allows designers to thoughtfully consider and assess design options. Our unified team of architects, engineers, preservationists, interiors designers and planners bring their collective expertise to bear on the vision of a near-zero energy project and a near-maximum attention to human physiological needs.
