Becoming an Architect

Have you ever looked at a building and wondered how it was designed? Or gazed up at the night sky and marveled at the way the stars seem to align? If so, then a career in architecture might be for you. Architects are responsible for the design of buildings and other structures. But their work is about more than just aesthetics. They must also consider the function of the space, the safety of the occupants, and the impact of the structure on the environment. In order to become an architect, you will need to complete a professional degree in architecture. This typically takes five years to complete, and includes coursework in physics, math, and engineering. You will also need to pass a professional licensing exam. But if you have a passion for design and a desire to create spaces that inspire, then a career in architecture may be the perfect fit for you.
